WBR — Weekly Business Review

Last updated: 2026-02-02

In plain English

A WBR is where the week is dissected.
Numbers are checked, blockers are raised, and next steps are decided — fast.

It’s closer to execution than an MBR, and much more operational than a QBR.

What they actually mean

WBRs reveal reality quickly.

If something is broken, it shows up here first.
If nothing ever changes week to week, the WBR has become a status ritual.

Good WBRs drive decisions.
Bad ones just track decline in real time.

Example

“The WBR showed a dip in performance, triggering new action items and an immediate follow-up.”

Does it actually matter?

✅ Yes — tactically.
WBRs keep teams honest about what’s happening now.

⚠️ Without decisions, they become weekly déjà vu.
With decisions, they prevent monthly surprises.
